Why did you choose Ravensthorpe for your wedding?
Ravensthorpe is such a beautiful venue. The food was delicious (super important!) and also wanted to choose somewhere not too far from home. Finally, we wanted to choose a venue where we wouldn’t have to worry about anything on the wedding day/night, which is exactly what we got.
Big dress or slim dress? Why?
I tried on so many different styles of dress. I really had no idea what I wanted to wear (I guess I wasn’t the kind of girl who dreamt about what her wedding dress would look like). The style that I thought would suit me really did me no favours so I ended up getting a very fitted dress because it seemed to suit my body shape the most. I tried on a few big dresses that were beautiful but really didn’t suit my personality.
What are some tips you can provide for people planning their wedding?
Find a friend who is married and ask for their wedding spreadsheet!

Standout vendors?
Every one of our vendors was absolutely amazing. I would give a special shout out to Petal and Cream Co who styled our wedding. Emily and Maigan did such an amazing job, it’s like they could read my mind. And they managed it all while both being heavily pregnant.
Dan – You did an amazing job making Chris and I feel comfortable getting our photo taken. Not that we knew you were even there most of the time. You somehow managed to capture every angle of our ceremony like a ninja. Every photo is amazing and captures a memory.
House of Tan – Bec is a maker of magic tans . Kyzo Bridal – Yasmin & Kim were incredible as always, wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to do our makeup on the day. Hair by Holly Gould – Holly is incredible, every hairstyle was flawless. Accapella Bridal – Connie did a wonderful job helping me find the perfect dress. Married by Matty – I couldn’t have pictured a more perfect ceremony. It had the perfect amount of love & laughter. Ravensthorpe – Of course put on the most wonderful day of our lives. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing and were just able to enjoy it from start to end.
