Wedding photography
across Bowral and
the Southern Highlands

As a wedding photographer based in Bowral in the Southern Highlands, I capture honest documentary style moments that reflect the real emotion of your day. With over 20 years of experience, I photograph weddings across Bowral, Berrima, Kangaroo Valley, Berry, Sydney and the South Coast, focusing on natural storytelling rather than staged direction.

If you are looking for a Bowral wedding photographer who values real heart felt moments over perfection, you are in the right place.

I’m there to observe, not interrupt. To let things breathe, so nothing feels taken, only remembered. It means stepping back at the right time, and quietly leaning in when something real begins to unfold. No pressure, no performance, just space for you to be fully present with each other and the people around you. That’s where the meaning sits, in the unspoken, the in between, the moments that would have passed if no one was truly paying attention.

Because the moments you’ll hold onto aren’t the ones you rehearsed, they’re the ones you never saw coming. The glance across the room, the squeeze of a hand, the laughter that catches you off guard. They happen quickly, quietly, without warning. My role is to recognise them as they unfold, and preserve them without ever getting in the way. So when you look back, it doesn’t feel like a photoshoot, it feels like your day, exactly as it was.

CENTENNIAL VINEYARDS WEDDING

A little rain never changed the feeling of Joc and Eddie’s Centennial Vineyards wedding. It was relaxed, emotional and full of personality from beginning to end.

THE STABLES WEDDING

Hannah and Dylan’s wedding at The Stables was full of the kind of moments I love photographing. Big laughs, quiet emotion and people completely caught up in the day.

Imperfectly Perfect

I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for the things that make your wedding yours.

The laughter that gets a little too loud. The people who can’t hold it together during the ceremony. The quiet moments happening at the edge of everything else.

Those are the photographs that become more important with time, because they weren’t created for the camera. They simply happened.

ABOUT DAN

After 20 years documenting over 1000 weddings, I've realised that the real magic lies in unscripted moments. Raw laughter, unnoticed glances, quiet tears. Weddings, like life, are about these genuine, in-between moments, not staged perfection, which I capture through a documentary style.
