Where do I start for this amazing Willow Farm Berry wedding? I guess you could say that this venue is bloody amazing! Ok, ok here goes…
Let’s begin this story with how the couple met…
Megan, 19 met Alistair, 22, in a pub in the UK. Megan was on a gap year, doing what Aussies do, working behind the bar. The rest was history. Six months later after a whirlwind European adventure, Alistair moved to Australia! Now nearly 9 years later they celebrated their wedding!
You can also choose where to have your reception, either in a marquee, in Willow Farms “red shed” or simply outdoors on the lawn. Megan chose the later option, the outdoors. It was absolutely beautiful! The multi-coloured chairs was a nice touch with overhead festoons for the needed soft light at night. Kudos to the team at Hoorah Events for the amazing work.
A Beautiful Willow Farm Wedding
The weather, blue sky and heaps of it with no cloud in sight. It was quite hot too. Luckily Willow Farm has a lot of great spots to have your ceremony to shelter you and your guests from the harsh Aussie sun. Megan and Alistair chose to have their ceremony in the shade down by the creek under a huge fig tree. It provided the perfect shelter from the harsh sun as well as provided a better location for their photos. Shade is always best.
Alistair’s family was in the UK, obviously due to COVID-19, but that didn’t stop them from watching a live ceremony stream of the ceremony. It was lovely. Alistair’s parents and family friends recorded their speeches and touching words in a really funny video, which was then played during the reception. It was a cracker!
