This gorgeous Hopewood House wedding was a beauty. Hopewood House is located in the historic town of Bowral, NSW. It is a huge property full of manicured gardens and amazing old English architecture. No wonder it’s one of the most sort after wedding venues in the Southern Highlands.
There are many places to get lost in at Hopewood House. With little nooks everywhere for wedding photo opportunities or your guests to admire. Britt and Pat obviously chose this venue for the above reasons.
The Wedding Day
Leading up to the wedding the weather was becoming a worry. For the last two weeks we had rain and more rain. It was due to the La Niña weather pattern that’s hitting the east coast of Australia at the moment. To my surprise this didn’t worry Britt nor Pat in any way. They steamed on, not caring about the weather in any sort of way; the photos are a testament to this.
Their personalities are quite infectious; the smiles, laughter and constant banter is quite awesome and I’m extremely humbled they chose me as their photographer for their Hopewood House wedding in Bowral.
So, let’s chat about the wedding day.
Britt and Pat got ready at Hopewood House. Pat in the Chukka Bar and Britt in the one of the onsite cottages. Each with their own party of lively characters. I gotta say I had so much fun with them.
The Ceremony is about 100 meters away from the getting ready area in a lovely area. The guests were immediately rested in the surroundings and greeted well by the amazing staff. They waited in anticipation for the bride to come walking down the aisle! The look of Pat’s face was priceless as his eyes locked on the Britt’s. You can see the chemistry between them two, big time!
After the ceremony everyone went round to the cocktail area where a champagne tower was waiting. They all ate and were merry, having an awesome time.
The rest of the day went without a hitch, they ate, drank and partied hard!
