Alison & Jack’s Somerley House Wedding

A Somerley House wedding like Alison and Jack’s is the kind of day that reminds you why this place is so loved. Elegant without being stiff, relaxed without losing any sense of occasion, and filled with the kind of energy that builds slowly before spilling into something unforgettable.

The weather played its part beautifully. A hint of rain hovered in the air, but the sky stayed overcast, gifting us that soft, even light photographers dream of. It suited the mood perfectly. Calm, romantic, and quietly electric.

Alison and Jack are the kind of people you feel immediately comfortable around. Warm, generous, caring and completely grounded. There was nothing performative about the day. No rushing. No forced moments. Just two people genuinely excited to be married, surrounded by friends and family who clearly adore them.

Somerley House provided the perfect backdrop. The architecture and gardens offered space to breathe, to wander, to let moments unfold naturally. Conversations lingered. Laughter carried. Small interactions happened everywhere you looked, which is always where the real story lives.

One of the standout moments came as the reception kicked off. Instead of easing into the night, Alison and Jack opened the dance floor early, setting the tone immediately. It was bold, joyful and completely them. The energy lifted instantly and never really came back down.

From there, the night took on a life of its own. A full dance floor, hands in the air, voices raised, and a crowd fully committed to celebrating. It was wild in the best way. The kind of party that builds and builds until you realise hours have passed and no one wants it to end.

Alison and Jack, thank you for trusting me to capture your Somerley House wedding. Your kindness, your energy and your love for one another were felt by everyone in the room. A beautiful day, and a seriously fun night.
