There’s one question that I get asked a lot about in my time as a southern highlands and south coast wedding photographer and its, “do you know of any DIY wedding venues in NSW”?
Here’s a blog on the venues in the area that support DIY, so I hope this list will help you on your wedding planning journey!
A List of DIY Wedding Venues
Merribee is a very stunning venue based on the South Coast of NSW. They have extremely beautiful manicured gardens, which is great for photo opportunities as well as your guests exploring. The ceremony area is great too, shaded from the hot summer sun and green and lush all year long.
Somerley House is another great Southern Highlands venue. It has sweeping farm like vistas as well as heaps of textured backdrops for photos. The reception room is intimate and the overall vibe is something your guests will never forget.
Wombat Hollow is beautiful little gem in the Southern Highlands. You are surrounded by huge gum trees, experiencing a little of the Australian bush. It has a lot of areas for photos and great space for your guests to wander and drink until the end of the day. It’s a very relaxing vibe.
The Woods Farm is based on the South Coast of NSW. It’s another great bush venue that has loads of accomodation for your guests and made as a DIY wedding venue. You can decorate to reception area and ceremony hut how you like. They are both really great spots!
Seacliff House is one of the DIY wedding venues that has sweeping vistas of the farm land and ocean in Gerringong on the South Coast, NSW. The recently built “shed” is an ultra modern/storage container designer, made for getting ready prior to getting married. It’s awesome!
