Alyce & Ben tied the knot right in her parents backyard, with the beautiful Cambewarra Mountain in the background. It was the perfect place for their south coast backyard wedding.

The property is huge and also has a big barn to house the guests at night. The barn and ceremony was style by Monica from Hoorah Events. She’s one of the best on the South Coast, hit her up if you need your area styled to perfection.

Alyce wore a beautiful Karen Willis Holmes gown. Jewellery also handed down from her grandmother. Her hair also looked amazing, thanks to the lovely Holly Gould with Cassie Turner on the makeup. It was such a great team.

The couple wanted their south coast backyard wedding to be non-traditional so leaned into having a few portraits with their bridal party before the ceremony. They also did a first look, to calm the nerves and to get a little “special one on one time” before all the guests arrive. Ben got a bit teary as the two embraced to cover their nerves on the day. Just look at them, smitten in the frames below:

Their doggo came along for the ride, and is featured a little through out their day. He’s an absolute legend and a really cool dog.

The ceremony went along smoothly and officiated by Cathy Philpott from Coastal Ceremonies. She’s another legend in the industry. She’s definitely not a boring celebrant and really easy to get along with.

There were quite a few tears during the ceremony and a few laughs. After the newly wedding couple got married and walked up the aisle, Alyce’s friend broke into a dance. It was bloody funny!

All of the guests later hung out near the barn, drank wine and beer from the Rambling Rose. They also ate Mexican food from Foodie del Mar. The tacos were divine!

This south coast backyard wedding went without a hitch. It was fun, full of energy and simply beautiful!
