I had the privilege to photograph the special moments of Alicia and Daniel at their Peppers Craigieburn Wedding. They both wore elegant and classic outfits that matched perfectly. Not even the heavy rain that swamped the ceremony taking place stopped them from enjoying a truly awesome and memorable day!

How They Met

Alicia and Daniel first met when they were 14, at the movies. Of all movies, they watched Paranormal Activity. So naturally, Alicia didn’t find that appealing. Alicia said that she became attracted to Daniel’s eyes and his sense of humour; he never stops making her laugh!

When they were 18, Daniel took Alicia to Woolworths on a Friday night for their usual “lemon quencher routine”. They both sat in Daniel’s car in the Woolworths car park and chatted. Daniel asked Alicia, to open the glovebox to pass his wallet over, as Alicia did so she saw a Marc Jacobs watch, at that point, Daniel asked Alicia to be his girlfriend! She said yes, obviously.

The Proposal

After 7 years together, on the 4th of July, they both went to lunch to celebrate Alicia’s university graduation. Daniel drove Alicia all the way to Rose Bay Wharf (Alicia had no idea). A seaplane then picked them up and dropped them at the Cottage Point Restaurant. After lunch, they walked around and to Alicia’s surprise, Daniel was on one knee and proposed. His words “I thought you deserved better than a Woolies car park”.

The rest is history!

Peppers Craigieburn Wedding

This wedding was photographed during a freak weather season. It rained pretty much every day for a month in the Southern Highlands. This type of weather pattern is extremely rare. I have to say that I am super lucky to get wedding couples who just go with the flow, rain, or hail! You get married once right?!

Alicia and her crew got ready at an Airbnb which is across the road from where their Peppers Craigieburn wedding will be held. Daniel and his party got ready in the Peppers bridal suite. They both chose a big grassy area for their ceremony and placed the seating in a circular fashion around the arbor. It looked great!

The rain kept coming, so they had to skip congratulations and also signed the wedding register in the reception room. We were all soaked! The rain later stopped as we ventured on the grounds for some portraits. The couple oozed beautiful chemistry and it was amazing to see and of course, easy to photograph.

After that, they walked into the reception with fanfare and chilled for the rest of the evening, getting late congratulations from their guests. Later, they ate dinner and danced the night away.

Alicia and Daniel, thank you so much for having me photograph your legendary Peppers Craigieburn wedding. It was absolutely stunning and I’ll never forget those precious moments AND the wet ceremony! Thank you!

I absolutely loved capturing Alicia and Daniel’s Peppers Craigieburn wedding in the southern highlands. I’m also truly grateful I got to spend some time with them on their special day. Here are a few more weddings with a similar vibe:
